Terms of Service
Last updated: February 15, 2026
1. Overview
TicketPay (“Service”) is operated by TicketPay (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What TicketPay Does
TicketPay monitors publicly available parking citation databases maintained by municipal governments and notifies registered users when a citation matching their license plate is detected. We are an independent notification service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), the City and County of San Francisco, or any other government entity.
3. What TicketPay Does Not Do
TicketPay does not pay, dispute, adjudicate, or otherwise resolve parking citations on your behalf. We do not provide legal advice. We do not guarantee that our monitoring will detect every citation, nor that notifications will be sent within any specific timeframe. You are solely responsible for paying or disputing any citations you receive.
4. Data Sources and Accuracy
Citation data is sourced from publicly available municipal open data portals. This data is published by the respective city governments and may contain errors, omissions, or delays. We present this data as-is and make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. The absence of a notification from TicketPay does not mean you do not have an outstanding citation.
5. Your Account
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for any activity under your account. You may add up to 3 license plates per account. You represent that you are authorized to monitor the plates you add — they belong to you, your household, or your business.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to monitor plates belonging to others without their knowledge or consent, attempt to access the Service through automated means other than our provided interfaces, interfere with or disrupt the Service, or use information obtained through the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Notifications and Reminders
We send notifications by email when a citation is detected. We may also send reminders before penalty deadlines. You can manage or pause notifications at any time in your account settings. Email delivery depends on third-party providers and we cannot guarantee delivery to every inbox.
8. Pricing
TicketPay is free during our beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with reasonable advance notice to existing users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TicketPay shall not be liable for any late fees, penalties, towing charges, or other costs resulting from failure to receive a notification, delays in notification, errors in citation data, or any other aspect of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. You acknowledge that parking citations are your responsibility regardless of whether you use this Service.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, we will cease monitoring your plates and delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
